Did you know that meditation is part of an ancient Christian tradition?

This workshop will provide an introduction to and experience of Christian Meditation, also known as contemplative prayer, or the prayer of the heart.

In recent times a recovery of this contemplative dimension of the Christian faith has been happening. And what the Christian mystics have known for thousands of years scientists are now confirming - that meditation is good for us. It deepens our spiritual journey by bringing our distracted mind to attention in stillness, silence and simplicity.

In a fast-paced world, meditation helps us slow our busy mind and be attentive to the source of divine love within us. It helps us see ourselves and others more clearly, leading to the transformation of faith into loving action.

The World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM) teaches a practice rooted in the Gospels and the Christian mystical tradition that is of powerful relevance for young people who want to live their discipleship to Jesus in a radical and simple way.

This form of prayer is now practiced by people from all walks of life all over Australia and the world, including young people and children in schools.

Run by long-time meditator and activist, Donna Mulhearn and other young Christian meditators. We are also hosting a corner in the prayer room with contemplative activities and a short meditation every hour.
